This 14-day Nepal tour is an all-inclusive package that covers the most highlighted parts of Nepal, including the visit to historic medieval temples and monuments in Kathmandu, jungle safari in Chitwan National Park, pilgrimage trip to Lumbini, excursion to Poon Hill, and sightseeing of Pokhara city. You will have a chance to take in the spectacular mountain scenery, visit the charming villages by the Gurung, as well as experience a thrilling journey through the dense forests.

The tour begins with the visiting to the Kathmandu Valley, which is famous for several world heritages sites such as Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swoyambhunath. Then you will move to Chitwan National Park to experience the wildness of Nepal, as you enjoy jungle walk and canoe ride there. Then you will head to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, to visit the Maya Devi Temple and other holy temples there. Next you have a half day sightseeing of Pokhara city before driving to Ulleri. After that, you will trek to Ghorepani to do excursion in Poon Hill. Finally, after trekking trip from Tadapani to Ghandruk, you will return to Kathmandu via Pokhara.

Itinerary Day by Day

Day1 Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal! Upon your arrival, your local guide will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to have a good rest at hotel.

Day2 Kathmandu Valley Half Day Tour and Drive to Nagarkot

Today, we will first enjoy a half day sightseeing tour in Kathmandu Valley. You will visit the Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most important Hindu temple in Nepal; Bodhanath, the largest stupa in Nepal; and the Bhaktapur's Dubar Square, which features the Victorian illustrations style with temples and temples complex.

After that, you will head to Nagarkot to enjoy a refreshing night stay in this charming resort.

Day3 Nagarkot to Kathmandu: Durbar Square, Kumari Temple, Swayambhunath

After breakfast, we will return to Kathmandu and keep exploring the must-visit medieval heritages sites there. As one of the iconic buildings of Nepal, Kathmandu’s Durbar Square would be our first stop. Durbar literally means palace, where the former kings ascend the throne and rule the country. You can stroll along the three main parts of Durbar Square and sit on the terraced platform to feel the vibe of Nepali city.

Then we will head to visit the Kumari Temple, house of the virgin goddess. After that, we will head to the renowned “Monkey Temple” - Swayambhunath. With lovely monkeys jumping around on the gilded spire of the temple, you can see the iconic Buddha’s eye on the stupa. The pious religious worshippers doing kora around the stupa and burning butter lamps and smell of incense draw you back to the similar experience in Tibet.

Day4 Kathmandu to Chitwan

After breakfast, we will drive from Kathmandu to Chitwan. Chitwan is famous for its Chitwan National Park (CNP), the first national park in Nepal, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After arriving in Chitwan, you can either take a jungle safari or natural walks depending on the time of arrival. During the safari, you will go deep into the jungle to see one horned Rhino and many more endangered animals. If you are lucky enough, you will see the elusive royal Bengal tigers. If you do the natural walk, you will see a wide variety of flora and fauna and spend some time bird watching.

Day5 A Full Day Chitwan Sightseeing

Today, we will enjoy a full-day sightseeing in Chitwan National Park. We will first ride on the elephant for a jungle safari through dense grasslands. Then we will visit the elephant stables and even enjoy bathing the elephants.

In the afternoon, you can drive through the jungles and then enjoy a canoe ride down the Rapti River. During canoeing, you may get a close look at the Gharial, Mugger crocodiles, fresh water dolphins, and some other water birds. Or, you can choose to take a natural walk with bird watching for the afternoon instead.

Day6 Chitwan to Lumbini

After breakfast, we will drive from Chitwan to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. As a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, Lumbini is revered as the place of holy pilgrimage. Upon arrival, we will walk through the scared Lumbini Garden, the Buddha's birthplace, and visit the Maya Devi Temple, one of the important sites in the Lumbini Garden with many historians and archaeologists referring to it as the place of birth of Lord Buddha.

Day7 Lumbini to Pokhara: Phewa Lake, Annapurna, Seti River Gorge

In the morning, we will head to the popular destination of Pokhara to enjoy a full day tour there. You will enjoy the boating on Phewa Lake. Nowhere else can better exemplify Pokhara’s beauty than the stunning image of Annapurna reflected in crystal-clear Phewa Lake.

Then, we will continue to visit the Seti River Gorge, where you will have a chance to see the limestone cave of Mahendra Gufa, used to be well-known for its stalactites.

Day8 Pokhara to Ulleri via Birethanti

Today, we will first drive to Nayapoll from Pokhara, which will takes about 2 hours. From Nayapoll, we will start a 5-hour trek to Ulleri, covering a distance of about 8 km. You will enjoy beautiful and unique scenery along the way. In the evening, you can enjoy a nice night stay in a local tea house or lodge.

Day9 Ulleri to Ghorepani

Today, you will continue to trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani. You will walk through a picturesque area of the old oak forests before reaching Nangethanti. After having lunch at Nangethanti, you will continue the climbing trip to Ghorepani. Today’s trek will take about 6 hours in total.

Day10 Ghorepani to Poon Hill and Tadapani

In the early morning, you will climb for about one hour to Poon Hill, one of the top mountain hiking destinations in Nepal. Here you can have a panorama view of the Himalaya mountain ranges, including the peaks of Dhualagiri, Annapurna Himal and Machhapuchhure.

After enjoying the great time in Poon Hill, you will trek back to Ghorepani and move on the Tadapani. The trekking trail from Tadapani stretches through the hills with beautiful sceneries to Tadapani.

Day11 Tadapani to Ghandruk

Today, we will first trek for approximately 3 hours from Tadapani to Ghandruk. Ghandruk is a village inhabited by the Gurungs, a clan made famous by the bravery of many of its brethren in many wars all over the globe. Upon arrival, you can enjoy a pleasant night at Ghandruk.

Day12 Ghandruk - Birethanti – Pokhara

In the morning you will trek for 4 hours to Birethanti. From Ghandruk there are views to the mountains of Annapurna including Machapuchare and Himchuli. Then you will drive for another 2 hours back to Pokhara. You will descend from 1950m to 960m along the Today’s route.

Day13 Pokhara to Kathmandu

Today, we will drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara. Upon arrival, your guide will take you to the hotel. The rest of the day is at your own leisure.

Day14 Depart from Kathmandu

Today, the guide will transfer you to the airport, then you can take your flight home or your next destination.
