Taking a train to Lhasa from Beijing, Shanghai  or Chengdu. After two full days sightseeing in Lhasa city, you will  continue to  visit  Gyantse, Shigatse and Everest Base Camp, and then to Kathmandu or back to Lhasa.

Before the Tour:
We will deliver your reserved your Tibet train tickets and your Tibet Entry Permit to your hotel in your departure city 3-5 days before the tour formally starts. We can also provide the airport to train station service in Beijing if you need (this service is from 100USD), the driver will give you the train tickets and permit in person.

Itinerary Day by Day

Days1-3 Train from Beijing/Shanghai/Chengdu to Lhasa (42-46 hours train ride)

Board the train at Beijing/Shanghai/Chengdu in the evening on Day01, arrive in Lhasa in the afternoon on Day3. With wonderful window excursion along Qinghai-Tibet Railway, you will see land of snows,desert, grassland, ice mountains, the lakes which will strongly go to your heart.

After arriving in Lhasa, a private car will take you from the train station to reserved hotel.

Day 1 - Day 2: Stay overnight on the Train.
Day 3: Stay overnight in Lhasa.

Day4 Lhasa Sightseeing: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street (B)

Morning section to visit the famous Potala Palace and explore the grandest of this myriad chapels, you will experience its audience halls, the jeweled and Golden burial chortens(stupa Tombs) of past Dalai Lamas, and tremendous number of Buddhist frescoes, thangkas, combinations of mandala etc.

Afternoon section visiting to the holist temple in Tibet, the Jokhang Temple, built during songtsen gonpo's reign by princess wencheng of tang dynasty, 647 A.D, and its famous Barkor Kora, where you can buy or appreciate traditional Tibetan artifacts, religious implements, antiques, books, Tibetan music instrument, Thangkas, and tradition tibetan clothes etc. you will have chance to get close to appreciate how the artists draw Thangkas at the Thakangka workroom at Barkhor.

Stay overnight in Lhasa.

Day5 Lhasa Sightseeing: Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery (B)

Today, you will visit two important monasteries in Lhasa, the Drepung and the Sera. Drepung monastery is situated at the foothill of a mountain and was founded by Jamyang Choeje in 1416. It was once home of 10000 monks and Ganden podrang in Drepung is famous it was the government centre during fifth dalai lama and later moved to the famous potala palace during fifth dalai lama.then you will visit the Carpet Factory, you can see how the world-famous Tibetan carpets are made.

After having lunch, continue to visit the Sera Monastery, which was founded in 1419 by Tsongkapa's disciple Jamchen Choeje. The most attractive is that Monks debiting is held there in the courtyard at around 3-5 in the afternoon section most of the time.

Day6 Driving towards the Gyantse(B)

A few kilometers from chushor is famous pass kangpa-la with4700m. From the top of the pass in clear weather, you can see the fabulous shade of deep torquoise. Yamdrok-tso Lake is shaped like coiling scorpion with deep blue in colour. Far in the distance is the huge massif of mount Nanchan kangtsang (7191m).

Leaving Yamdrok-tso is a spectacular as arriving, since you have to cross the 4960m karo-la with its awesome roadside views of the Nanchan- Kangtsang glacier. It was here that Younghusband's british troops clashed with Tibetan forces en route to lhasa.

Then reached to your day's final destination Gyantse.

Stay overnight in Gyantse.

Day7 Driving towards Sakya, visit Kubhum monastery, Tashilhunpo Monastery, and Sakya Monastery (B)

Driving Towards Shigatse in the morning after visiting famous Gyantse Kubhum.

In Shigatse, you will visit the famous Tashi Lhunpo Monastery where you can see the well preserved largest statue of Jampa (future god) in the world. The monastery itself is abiding place for the successive Penchen Lamas.

Driving towards the Sakya County where you can visit the famous Sakya Monastery. The most interesting thing in Sakya sect is that the sect donot believe in reincarnation and the head of sakya sect will wear white cassock and also marry to birth their child for next generation. Then take a good rest in Sakya.

Stay overnight in Sakya County.

Day8 Driving towards the Everest Base Camp and relax a night at Rongbuk guesthouse (B)

There is about 5 hours driving from Sakya to Rongpuk, road is under construction. From Tingri to E.B.C with the very rough road, pass the wild grassland, cross the Rapids River and high mountains.

If it is in clear weather, you can have a glimpse of 4 mountains which is 8000m high or more, such as: Mt. Lhotse(8516m),Mt. Everest(8848m), Mt. Qowowuyag(8201m),Mt Mayalu(8463m). Enjoy your remaining time at Everest base camp.

Stay overnight in Ronguk Guest House or Tent.

Day9 Sightseeing around the narrow valley of Everest Base Camp and return back to Shigatse (B)

Early in the morning, you can enjoy the beautiful sun rising scene from the top of the Mount Everest and can also explore the nearby natural ecosystem. Then move back to Shigatse.

Stay overnight in Shigatse.

Day10 Shigatse to Lhasa (B)

Return to Lhasa from Shigatse, have a rest in Lhasa after such a long journey. In this afternoon, you could go to the Barkor or local handicraft Market to buy some souvenirs.

Stay overnight in Lhasa.

Day11 Depart from Lhasa (B)

You will be transferred to Lhasa airport for your flight to next destination.
